Oh man, my blogging is not awesome – I photographed Lisa + Tyler’s colorful Eastern Market summer engagement session last summer! Maybe I saved it for today to give us all the warm summer vibes? Yup, we’ll go with that LOL.
Here’s a little more about this super fun and laid back couple:
Lisa – Nurse Anesthetist
Tyler – Engineer
How they met:
We were both out at the infamous Ricks in East Lansing with friends one night. Lisa’s friend happened to know Tyler and his friend so they came over to say hi. Before we knew it, we were talking about life plans and our goals and dreams. Tyler asked Lisa for her number, and after giving it to him she replied with, “The ball’s in your court now.” And the rest is history.
Their engagement story:
Lisa wanted to take some holiday photos with our dogs. We had just adopted a puppy a month prior, so she wanted to take some while she was still young. She asked Tyler’s sister to take some photos for them, not knowing Tyler had already asked his sister and told her that he was proposing. We went up to a Christmas tree farm near Tyler’s hometown in Linwood and walked all around it for an hour. Tyler had hidden the ring in the car and couldn’t get to it without looking suspicious. His sister thought he was getting cold feet! Eventually, we had started to wander back towards the car and Tyler’s sister distracted Lisa enough so he could grab the ring. Tyler’s sister then convinced us to take one more photo. When we went to pose, Tyler unexpectedly dropped down onto one knee and proposed. Afterwards we drove to his parents house, where Lisa’s parents and sister were also waiting. We all celebrated that night with some good drinks and good food.
