When your oldest friend asks for a Downtown Detroit engagement session, you stop in your tracks and do it. Monika is one my best friends – we met in 6th grade and never looked back. In school, there was never one without the other. Ladies listen to me when I say, I was always slightly jealous of Monika, because all of the guys LOVED her. LOVED. In retrospect, I think it was because she didn’t pay them any mind! Though I’m sure it was because she’s not only gorgeous, but she’s such a kind soul. Through life and time, the world has brought us close and sometimes separated us, but we always pick up where we left off.
Monika met Megan at the exact moment she needed her. She introduced our group of friends from high school to Megan on their SECOND DATE! This was unheard of, but there’s something really, really special about Megan. She’s warm. That smile – she’s nurturing. She takes a genuine interest in you. I really think she’s exactly what Monika didn’t even know she needed.
The week of their wedding, they asked me to meet them downtown while they got their marriage license for a few photos. They were nervous and excited and giddy – it was perfect. Here are a few snaps of their Downtown Detroit engagement session.
