Oh man you guys, this wedding! This couple! A wedding so awesome, I have to tell it in two separate blogs.
I met Lybra, because I am friends with her Brother & Sister-in-law. When we first talked, I felt like I had known her for years. It really is kind of crazy how I’ve had such awesome Brides and Couples this season and Lybra was the perfect example of that. They were originally supposed to have their wedding in Detroit, but the venue fell through and Lybra nervously asked if I would be willing to travel to Milwaukee. Uh, yah! Not only do I love to travel, but I love shooting in new places. Milwaukee is coooooool too! A photographer’s dream. Literally everywhere I turned, I was inspired in a completely different way.
I met Kyle & Lybra for the very first time in person on their wedding day. Both were so calm and cool and ready to take the jump together. They are the kind of people who don’t really love to be the center of attention, so they decided to elope to the Milwaukee County Courthouse with just immediate family in tow and then celebrate their union the next day with their closest friends and family from all over. It was beautiful and I was honored to be able to be one of the very few who witnessed their intimate ceremony. After the ceremony, I got to hang out with the newlyweds as they showed me some of their favorite spots in the city. We had a blast!
Later that evening, they had a welcome cocktail hour for their guests. It was so beautiful watching the coming together of such important people in their lives – each guest a little piece of them and their history. Stay tuned to see their stunning reception at Onesto!
How do I even pick a favorite – it’s downright IMPOSSIBLE! Oh my goodness, Erin you should be SO proud of this wedding. This is some of your best work. Lybra (aside from having a dope name) is the cutest! I’m dying over her dress AND her shoes. And Kyle is so incredibly dapper in that navy suit. They are so in love and so beautiful. Kudos to you for capturing this perfectness!
What a sweet event! LOVE that arched door one… and all the bar images. Those are GREAT!

[…] blogs). Lybra & Kyle were married at the Milwaukee County Courthouse on Friday afternoon (click here if you’d like to see photos from that) and on Saturday, they got family and friends together at the Third Ward’s hip restaurant, […]
Wonderful pictures…special individuals-now united…to borrow a line from the infamous Rod Stewart, “every picture tells a story”. None as meaningful (for me) than the first one, after the marriage ceremony, of the wedding couple with child on the courthouse stairs. Notice the signage just above them in the background; included intentionally in the shot or not, captures the essence of it all, “don’t it”? Nice work, Erin!
Ahhh!! I adore everything about this. This bride is the absolute cutest. She is adorable! Love her dress and glasses. The groom looks dashing! The family and friends – so much love! Everything is so REAL. Truly beautiful.
