This couple was so cool that their wedding lasted a whole weekend (and two separate wedding blogs). Lybra & Kyle were married at the Milwaukee County Courthouse on Friday afternoon (click here if you’d like to see photos from that) and on Saturday, they got family and friends together at the Third Ward’s hip restaurant, Onesto to celebrate their new life together. Amazing food from Onesto + an old school hip hop DJ playing vinyl all night = be still my heart! As I said in the last post, shooting destination weddings is my jam. I love new adventures and I love seeing pieces of my clients lives that help make their day even more special. Lybra + Kyle, you guys are amazing. Your love is contagious and I had an absolute blast spending time with you! I wish you nothing but the very best for ever and always! xo, e

Wedding in 3 Words: Modern but Timeless
Lybra’s favorite memory of the day: We had a 2-day wedding extravaganza, so I have two great memories. One was just after the official courthouse wedding, when we’d sent the family back to the hotel and Kyle and I were finally able to sit down at the Pabst Brewery for a pint of beer…and take some playful photos of the two of us at the historic bar in the old brewery. It was just such a lighthearted, relaxed, and fun hour with just the two of us…before being bombarded with family and friends. Then on Saturday, the day of our reception, I have a great memory of sitting with my father in the restaurant bar before we made our grand entrance and trying to get him to RELAX about his speech and enjoy the moment. He was so nervous, excited and happy all at once. I know seeing me happy with Kyle and our daughter makes him so so happy and he wanted his speech to be perfect. It means a lot to me that he wanted his speech to convey just how happy he is that I found an amazing guy.
Kyle’s favorite memory of the day: My favorite memory was standing in the Milwaukee City Hall just before our wedding with our closest family members waiting for the Commissioner. And then on Saturday, I have a remember being so overjoyed as I stood in front of everyone at the reception looking around the room, and seeing all our friends and family in one room.
Wedding planning advice for newly engaged couples: Best wedding advice – don’t allow yourself have too much time to plan. You’ll over plan yourself till you don’t even want to go to your own wedding! The more time you have the more opportunity you have to second guess that you have the right color flowers…or the right food selection…or enough donut flavor options for dessert…etc. etc. Keep it simple so you can enjoy your day. Also, remember to eat dinner!
Honeymoon location: To be determined….maybe Germany?
