Love in the time of Corona | a wedding update
Ahhhh love in the time of Corona. Man, what a time to be alive! But not to worry, we will still wedding! I wanted to be sure to update you on a few things
- I will be wearing a mask at your wedding: It just has to be that way for the safety of you and your guests as well as me and my family. Hopefully we won’t have to do it for too long.
2. I can’t hug: Ughhhh this one kills me! But know I am sending you so much love through my eyes (especially since you can’t see my giant smile)
3. I’m going to need your help: Family formals + wedding party photos may have to be done a little differently than normal due to people not quarantining the same way or together. Please speak with your friends and family members beforehand about how you are comfortable with these photos. Also, sometimes I may say “get in closer” because I am so used to it. If I do that, please feel free to yell at me ;) I’ve been doing this so long, I kind of get in my zone and am learning right along side you with these new protocols.
4. If it doesn’t sound right, it probably isn’t right: Is your venue telling you 150 people indoors is fine while we’re in Phase 4 (10 person indoor gathering) because they’re a considered a restaurant since they serve food? Chances are, they can’t. They must have a restaurant license to operate at 50%, so just be sure before finalizing your plans with your vendors that they have one. Vendors participating in “an unlawful event” could result in loss of our business licenses and a $2,000 fine.
5. Your wedding is going to be amazing: I know this year is crazy. Like crazier than I could have ever imagined. But in the words of Jackie deShannon, “What the world needs now is love, sweet love”. You are still going to be married. It might not be how you originally envisioned, but it is going to be so special and intimate and beautiful and I will be there to capture it all.
