Janelle & Ray are the coolest. The very first time I met them was their wedding day, because the both of them had recently moved to Australia (where Ray is from). So in love that they made my job almost effortless :) Their day was perfect and went off without a hitch. My favorite part of the day was when their gorgeous ceremony spot turned into a sparkler lit dance floor for their stunning First Dance!

Janelle + Ray, it was such an honor spending your first day as Husband and Wife with you. Your day was nothing less than perfect and I had a blast getting to know the both of you! Maybe someday I’ll make my way across the pond to photograph you again ;) xo, e

Their Wedding in 3 words: beautiful perfect us

Janelle’s favorite memory of the day: It is very difficult for me to pinpoint one favorite memory of the most amazing day of my life (I have lived a very adventurous life and never thought I would call it the best day of my life since that sounds so cliche… but it was). Some of my favorite memories were: walking down the aisle and seeing my soon to be husband looking so proud and handsome, taking a 15min break to go on a golf cart adventure together and talk about each others day away from everyone during the cocktail hour when we should have been doing a bunch more pictures together, my husbands beautiful speech, having our first dance outside under the stars with sparklers, and dancing with my grandpa (he passed suddenly a couple of weeks after that but he made sure to let us know how happy he was for us and how much he loved us; I hadn’t seen him that happy in decades!) These are just some of the reasons why this was the best day of my life

Ray’s favorite memory of the day: It makes me uncomfortable being the center of attention. When I looked into my soon-to-be wife’s eyes, I remember becoming completely oblivious of everyone else during the ceremony as happiness filled my soul with what we were about to promise

Wedding planning advice for newly engaged couples: Don’t get caught up in the small details and remember what the day is really about. Prioritize the 3 things that are most important for you to invest in on your wedding day (ie photographer, wedding planner, venue) and stick to that budget. I highly recommend getting a wedding planner so that they can help you sort those small details and deal with minor hiccups day of the wedding.
