I’ve known Jonas for a long time. I lived with his sister in college and have photographed both of his sisters families. I hadn’t seen him in several years, but when I met with him and his bride-to-be, Valerie in the winter, he had this honest to God look of calm and love about him. Jonas and Valerie have a long history together. After 13 years give or take, he popped the question over the holidays. She of course said yes. She knew Jonas was the real deal; she even took the plunge and tattooed his initials on her ankle as a surprise for him. Fast forward to a few weeks ago, I had such a great time photographing their wedding. The weather was perrrrrfect, they had the best group of fun, supportive friends two people could ask for and their wedding was just “so them”. I loved their bridal party’s attire of the guys in vests with rolled up sleeves and the girls with their own unique blush colored dresses. And can we talk about Valerie’s gorg Badgley Mischka shoes?! With their ceremony at Wilson Barn in Livonia and wedding reception at Stefan’s at St Michaels Cultural Center, it really was the perfect, beautiful day. Scroll down to see more.
