Another museum that’s nothing like you’ve experienced before! Getting married among the Diego Rivera mural is literally next level. Another thing that’s so cool about DIA is that they only book one wedding a month there, so you are their front and center priority through your planning experience!

7. Scarab Club

Mmmmm that outdoor spot tho and that yummy summer light that comes through. Just an amazing Detroit Venue for a more intimate wedding.

9. Masonic Temple Detroit

A photo from a wedding ceremony in the chapel at Detroit's Masonic Temple. The room is gothic with red carpet and the couple is having their first kiss

Getting married in the same building Jack White did – you honestly can’t get more Detroit than that! I just love the color, history, grandness of Masonic Temple. And the rooftop views! Just so diverse and special of a location.

10. Detroit Athletic Club

a photo of a bride and groom kissing on the rooftop of the DAC in Detroit. Her satin gown is blowing in the wind

Detroit Athletic Club is worth it’s price for the rooftop views alone! After a crazy day, my favorite thing to do is take my couples to the roof for some sunset photos and that much needed breathe of fresh air. The food is incredible, the venue is stunning and honestly requires minimal decorating. There are also hotel rooms available there as well, to make coming home at the end of the night so easy.

11. Waterview Loft

Again, she’s a tiny bit outside the city, but you get to have your photos taken inside (and outside) Henry Ford Museum and on the property at Greenfield Village. So uniquely Detroit.

13. Westin Book Cadillac

A photo of a bride and groom on chairs during the hora. There is purple lighting and they are at the Westin Book Cadillac in Detroit, Michigan

Westin Book Cadillac has always been a favorite of mine. The perfect fit for anyone who loves the city, but especially for those with a lot of out of town guests. You know how Detroit is shown to the rest of the world and this is your chance to show them how incredible it is! With their location right by campus martius and them being a hotel, it’s a one stop location for your guests to not only enjoy your wedding, but all the city has to offer as well! This is a can’t miss in my eyes.

14. The Madison

a photo of a wedding reception dance floor at Detroit's the madison rooftop. The sun is setting and there are a number of women dancing in a circle

Friends she has a rooftop. And not any rooftop, but one that overlooks Comerica Park. Well who cares about that?! YOU DO! Saturday nights in the summer they fire off fireworks that you don’t have to pay for. Free firework display on your wedding day, yes please! But not only that, it’s just a stunning Detroit location owned by Bedrock.

Honerable Mention:

State Savings Bank

Why is it an honorable mention? Because it’s a newer venue I haven’t had the opportunity to shoot at yet. State Savings Bank Detroit looks incredible, location is perfect and such a chic, luxurious looking spot to dance the night away with family and friends.
