I have to start off by saying, I love these two.  I first met Ashley & Jon after our original meeting was rescheduled due to a crazy snowstorm and our respective cities being shut down from the snow.  When I met Ashley, I felt like she and I had been friends for years.  And from what I heard on their wedding day, that’s who Ashley is.  And Jon, so sweet and so happily in love.

Their wedding day was seriously something out of a fairytale.  So many personal touches; from Ashley reworking her Mother’s veil into hers, to her Father building his Daughter an arch for her big day, to their ring warming ceremony to having their loved ones bless their rings and marriage.  So, so special.  And can we talk about Carranor Hunt & Polo Club for a minute?!  So much history and charm in that place.  Did you know that typically you can’t have a dance floor outside at Carranor?  Well, Ashley really wanted one, so she wrote to the Mayor and he approved it!  I think my favorite part of the day was their First Look.  When Jon saw his gorgeous Bride to be, he yelled out a joyous, “Holy Sh*t!”  Best.Reaction.Ever.  And for about 15 minutes after, they couldn’t stop looking at each other.  Not just looking at each other; literally googly eyed looking at each other.

The ceremony went off without a hitch and their reception was amazing(they had a mac n’ cheese bar!).  And they danced the night away with arguably the best playlist of all time (I totally need that playlist).

Thank you two so much for having me.  I love you both and couldn’t be happier for the two of you.  Thank goodness for East Toledo bars… AmIRight?!

Wedding in three words: Thoughtful, relaxed, dance party
Ashley’s favorite memory of the day: The first look, walking down the aisle with my Dad to Jon, and our vows. We sat down together and decided what was most important to our relationship and marriage and wrote them together. It was amazing being able to make those promises to one another in front of the most important and influential people in our lives.
Jon’s favorite memory of the day: The first look by far. There is a decent amount of stress in the week leading up to the wedding, and to be able to see my future wife, to tell her how beautiful she looked and enjoy a few private moments together before the ceremony alleviated any stress and anxiety I had.
Wedding planning advice for newly engaged couples:  Enjoy the process and try not to sweat the small stuff. Prioritize on what is most important to both of you and just make that you accomplish those. For future brides, remember to keep in mind that your wedding is about the two of you and your love for one another, so try to collaborate and include your future hubby in as much of the planning as you can. It’s pretty cool when you create your vision for your day together.
