You guys, seriously, anytime I have the opportunity to get to Chicago I take it. It’s pretty, there’s great food, and one of my favorite friends lives there. Plus, you all know I LOVE shooting in spaces I’m unfamiliar with. When Meghan asked if I was willing to the spot where their Navy Pier engagement took place, I couldn’t say yes fast enough! We ran around the city exploring some of their favorite spots along with pretty much every tourist in the city ;) It was so.much.fun though and seriously their wedding can’t get here fast enough! Here’s more about Meghan and Dan:
Meghan , Emergency Nurse
Dan , Senior Analyst
Met: 2009
How they met: I started working at the same breakfast place that Dan was. Dan had to take a few month off of work, so when he came back, everyone knew who he was except for me. Everyone loved Dan, so it wasn’t a surprise that we became friends soon after.
Their engagement story: We have been dating for 7 years. I had always told Dan that I wanted to wait to get married till I graduated from Nursing school, passed my boards, and got a job. I had just graduated, passed my state boards and I had just accepted my first job as an Emergency Nurse. Dan had begged me to take a week off work so he could take me to Chicago to celebrate. We had been to Chicago many times together, we fell in love with the city and each other there. He led me to the end of Navy Pier as he did so many times before. But this time he asked me to spend the rest of my life with him and I said YES!
Song that reminds Meghan of Dan: Strangely enough, Animals by Neon trees
Song that reminds Dan of Meghan: Home by Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros
Three words that describe their wedding: Romantic, Timeless, TURNT (ok seriously? Can it get here, like now?!)
Their wedding colors: Mauve, grey, green
A June 2017 wedding is planned at the Belle Isle Conservatory & Detroit Institute of Arts
Ahhhmazing Erin!!!
These are seriously gorgeous. Left me with the feels.
Gah!!! These images are GORGEOUS! I love how each photographer approaches a new city differently, even if two photographers hit the ‘touristy’ spots with clients, the end result is always so different. Love that. And these two! Great outfits, great locations, and beautiful colors!
Wow!!!! This wind in her hair on the water, those shots are my favorite!!!! Gorgeous job, as always Erin!
