Christine was the first friend I made when my family moved when I was 9.  She was assigned to show me around school by our teacher and now she’s asked me to photograph her wedding!  I was so excited when she asked me to come down to photograph her and Jeff’s Nashville love story for their engagement photos.

I met up with them and we headed to some of Nashville’s most beautiful and famous spots – the Pedestrian Bridge, Ryman Auditorium, and Legends.  Ahh, such a beautiful city and great place to be in love!  Thanks guys for showing me such a great time – I can’t wait for your wedding next month!

Here’s their story…

Met:

Nashville is at the center of our love story, and we’re so happy to call it home. Jeff moved here from North Carolina in 2010 for a fresh start and a new opportunity, and Christine came down from Michigan in 2012 for a new sales job. Her friends and family all said she was going to fall in love with Tennessee, meet a sweet southern gentleman and never look back. She didn’t know it at the time, but boy were they right! Out one evening in August 2012 at a concert, Christine was about to call it a night when her friends Tahnee and Wes convinced her to get one more drink. Little did she know that Wes was calling his friend Jeff, a medical sales recruiter, to come meet this “cute medical sales rep.” In fact, they had a bet going on for how long it would take Jeff to try to recruit Christine for a new sales job… it took about 5 minutes. They immediately connected and when he asked if he could “hold her pocket book,” she knew she was going to fall in love with this man. Jeff took Christine to the Grand Ole Opry to see The Band Perry on their first date, and they have been together ever since!

Their Engagement Story:

After nearly four years together, Jeff finally popped the question at Christine’s family cabin in Evart, Michigan. Everyone was in town for the 4th of July holiday, including Christine’s immediate and extended family. July 2nd was a gorgeous Saturday in northern Michigan, and they spent it fishing and enjoying the outdoors. After dinner, Jeff suggested they go down to the water and Christine initially refused because she thought he wanted her to help carry up the fishing gear. After some subtle convincing, they headed down and were enjoying a breathtaking summer sunset when Jeff asked Christine to dance and before she knew it, he was getting down on one knee! To make the moment even more special, they got to surprise the rest of her family with the news, as they were clueless that the proposal was happening that weekend even though Jeff had asked Christine’s dad for her hand in marriage several months prior. The next day in church, when the priest asked if anyone had any good news to share, Christine’s dad stood up and proudly announced (in front of the entire congregation) our engagement. We got a standing ovation and a special blessing from the priest… it was the PERFECT weekend!

A Thousand Years (Christina Perri) – the song Jeff played when he proposed to me, and the song I’ll walk down the aisle to

Song that reminds Jeff of Christine:

A Thousand Years (Christina Perri) – Christine introduced me to this song a couple years ago so I played it during the proposal
