You may remember Mia’s gorgeous parents from their maternity session at their family cottage.  Mia arrived in March and is the perfect combination of both of her parents.  Mia was seriously so perfectly content during her session, we were able to shoot a ton of images and have a great time while we shot.  Stay tuned for Mia’s 6 month session coming in September!  Here’s more about this stunning little lady:

Was she early, ontime or past due?

Mia arrived one day before her “due date”

 

How did you decide on your child’s name?

We have had Mia picked out for years. We wanted a long middle name to pair with Mia and ended up loving the unique name Genevieve. Genevieve has some Celtic/Irish origins which gives a nod to her Grandpa Basore’s heritage.

Beautiful, Alert, Soft

 

Best piece of new parent advice you received:

Follow your instincts

 

Must have baby item:

We have just about every baby gadget but the one thing we couldn’t live without is our big exercise ball, which was not originally bought for the baby. Whenever Mia gets a little fussy, bouncing her on the ball works EVERY time to calm her down or put her to sleep. 

 

Nursery theme/vision:

Mia’s nursery is all neutral colors (whites, beige, grey). The theme is inspired by vintage french decor and restoration hardware designs.
