A few weeks back, I started chatting with an editor from Tiny Prints to run a fun styled shoot. As the end of the year creeps up, and the holidays become nearer, something fun & inspiring is tops! Tiny Prints is a sister company of the photo printing and product company, Shutterfly. I was initially a little worried, because the only product I was familiar with of theirs was their birth announcements (we used Tiny Prints with both of my girls) and I was wondering how the heck I could put together a styled shoot with just birth announcements. And then I looked on their website. Not only does Tiny Prints do birth announcements, but they have home decor, wrapping paper, party invitations, menus, stationary and other gifts as well! When this styled shoot was presented to me, I was told there are no rules other than a budget to stick to and no direction from them. This was my project to do whatever with… Eeek! So exciting and so scary. But so exciting! If you know me, you know I am the Queen of Details. I love shooting all of the little things that go into an event and this was going to be like the Mecca of details.
The first thing that came to mind as I looked through their products was I wanted to do something holiday. Tiny Prints holiday products are amazing and fun, plus I hadn’t known they existed until that day, so I knew we had to go in that route. I was imagining cozy, holiday prettiness. Lots and lots of flowers flowing with their products, lots of cheer and warmth. I knew exactly who I needed for this job and reached out to Jen House Design & A Moment in Time Wedding & Event Production, because their work is on another level. They take a traditional idea of design and spin it into gorgeous pieces of floral artistry. I mean, in the table runner you’ll see below, Jen put figs in it! Figs! And they looked a-maz-ing! I had been in contact with Kendall and Jen and we all had the same vision: Cozy Holiday. Jen suggested Sunset Cove as our location. Sunset Cove is a stunning family run bed & breakfast on the lake in Pinkney. I can only image how amazing it is when it’s snowing outside. When I first walked in, I swear I could hear Bing Crosby ;) Not only is Sunset Cove a B&B, but it is also an stunning intimate wedding location. An outdoor ceremony & an intimate reception on their patio under cafe lights over looking the lake = hearts in eyes emoji! *Side note, if you’re interested in holding your event there, they fill up fast and limit their wedding size to a more intimate group of 125 or less. Contact Cat – she’s awesome!
