So, my blogging is a tad bet behind and this is a throw back to 2016! There are weddings that as a vendor feel like home and Evan + Michael’s classic chic Michigan wedding was toooootally one of those days. Evan is that one bubbly girl that’s so sweet and genuinely interested in you and Michael is like your little brother – sweet and looks after you. It just.felt.like.home. Their fall wedding was surprisingly warm and had this kind of glow to it.
I met Evan at Royal Park Hotel as she finished up with makeup and got into her dress. I just love that nervous energy during that time. Michael was waiting at the church and was having fun with his boys and his brother was able to check in with him from half way across the world (he was deployed and as a joke, Mom make a cut out of his head to have during family photos ;) ) their ceremony was just perfect – I let a few photos out because the sun was blaring in poor Mike’s eyes most of the ceremony, but it was otherwise perfect. It was immediately followed by a crazy dance party for the ages. I don’t think I’ll ever be able to listen to The Chainsmokers again without thinking of Evan and her girls. Ugh, such a good day! Evan + Mike thank you so much for having me! xo, e

Romantic, Glam, Chic
Evan’s favorite memory of the day:
One of my favorite memories was dancing during the last song of the night. It was a slower song, so all of our friends decided to huddle together with Mike and I and we slow danced it out as one. We definitely have a close group of friends and that made my heart extra full!
Michael’s favorite memory of the day:
One of my favorite memories from our wedding day was being able to FaceTime with my younger brother Danny. After we chose our wedding date, he was deployed to Afghanistan to serve in the army. Although he couldn’t be there as my best man, I was glad that we were able to see him on the wedding day after all.
Wedding planning advice for newly engaged couples:
Ask people who recently got married for their advice. They just went through it all and can help assist you in the right direction with all the little details to come. Also, not every part of wedding planning is 100% enjoyable, but try your best to make the best of it! Everything ends up working out in the end. Take a deep breath and don’t be afraid to ask your friends or family for help if you need it.
