Come check out Court + Eric’s fun and colorful Belle Isle Engagement! You may recognize them from their engagement being featured on Wedding Chicks! No, I wasn’t there in Disney World, but I did know about it ahead of time, because Eric’s sister has been my best friend for over 20 years. Yup, Eric is and will always will be “Lil Eric” to me, since he was 5 when I first met him. And now he’s getting married and I get to photograph it (and probably bawl my eyes out behind my camera!

Court had been following my work for a while and she emailed me about their engagement session, she said “if there’s anything you want to try or do or have any ideas, let’s totally do it!” Umm, photographer’s dream. Why? Because she trusts me and that’s the best thing ever. We went to Belle Isle to enjoy the sun and take some amazing photos. I love how much fun they have. They have a lot of fun and balance each other out perfectly. It was just the perfect day*

How they met:

We worked together but didn’t talk much (even though I tried ;) ) About a year later we reconnected through mutual friends at a party and became bffs. The rest is history. ❤

Their Engagement Story:

I need to start this by saying Disney is my favorite place in the world!! I am a huge Disney lover, which Eric still loves me in spite of. We went on a vacation to California with my best friend, Kaylyn, and her boyfriend, Matt. While we were out there we planned a Disney day with them. Little did I know…Eric had bigger plans. The day before we went to Disney we had dinner with them in downtown LA and I had to give Kaylyn a bag that she couldn’t fit on the plane ride to California. When I wasn’t looking Eric had snuck the ring into a pocket on the bag that we were bringing her (this way he could get through the metal detectors at the park without getting caught)! While I was busy talking to Kaylyn the next day at the park, Eric stealthily grabbed the ring from Kaylyns bag and kept it in his back pocket. We went to take a picture in front of the castle and he started talked to me before the photographer could snap the photo. All I was thinking was “Why are you talking right now? Can’t this wait? There is a line for photos in front of this castle!” Once I figured out what was going on, my mind went blank and I just started crying. He said the sweetest things and asked me to spend forever with him. Of course I said yes! Everyone around us started to cheer and came up to congratulate us.
