How cute are Megan + Arneil?!  I was just in Santa Barbara for a retreat and I was lucky enough to be able to photograph their California love session while I was there!  So, you can’t see if, but the beach was actually FULL of photographer.  Like packed.  The retreat I was at was Yeah Field Trip and there were two different classes going on at the same time as our session, which made it a little tricky to work around, but I think we worked it out perfectly.

I just love these two.  Megan showed up with flawless makeup done by herself (she’s an amazing makeup artist!) and a stunning flowy maxi dress and Arneil brought fresh kicks and a protective smile ;)  We had so much fun working our way through the coast and ended up on a cliff in the cove.  It was just so perfect.  So much so that I barely noticed the tide came in and I was knee deep in Pacific Ocean.  Anything for the shot, right?!  Here’s a little more about Megan + Arneil!

Their Story:

We basically met a few weeks before I graduated high school. Arneil is best friends with my cousin and he decided to tag along with us when we had to do a few errands for my graduation party. We are both from San Luis Obispo and when you live in this town, everyone knows everyone and there’s not much going on so when I met him, it was a bit strange that I’ve never met him before. After our first encounter, Arneil ended up hanging out more and more with my group of friends and it was way later in the summer before we started realizing there was a connection between us. Once I started college, I danced in a show for the college and Arneil decided to show up to my first performance and surprised me with flowers! Basically from there on out we have been together ever since. At the end of this year, we will hit our 10 year anniversary of being together!

Their favorite things to do:

We both work so much and work so hard, that we try to work and save money to go on little mini vacations somewhere. Every year we try to take a trip to Hawaii or a trip to a tropical destination. Sand and water is our absolute favorite place to be around!
