You guys, these two are cuuuuuuuuuuuute!  I had so.much.fun hanging out with Sara and Joe and hearing about about their excitement and nervousness about becoming parents.  Sara arrived with a homemade floral crown and I gasped with excitement.  She said Joe didn’t get it, but she knew I would – and she was right!  At the time of our session, Sara was a little under two weeks of her due date.  We walked.  A lot.  I was a bit nervous, but we were just a stones throw from U of M Hospital, so I knew we’d be alright.  Floral crown, pretty light and a ton of laughs filled their session and I loved every minute of it.  Spoiler Alert: Little did they know, Baby T would end up being overdue – I think by a week, which with a July due date really equates to eternity.  Stay tuned to find out if it was a boy or a girl!

How did you tell your significant other you were having a baby?
I kept it a secret until Joe came home from work. I wanted to cook a big fancy French dinner even though it was a weeknight. Joe was sitting on the couch checking email and all I could think of was how fun it was that I was going to change his life in a manner of minutes! When I finally said dinner was ready (after using every dish in the kitchen), he came to the table to find a little card on his plate that said, “I’m pregnant.” Then we were crying and laughing and jumping up and down. We are our fancy French food was cold. : )

Have you chosen a name? John Luke for our boy and Anna Elizabeth for our girl

Baby item you are most excited to use: The tiny newborn “coming home from the hospital” outfit. And the Diaper Genie (just kidding).

Is your hospital bag packed? Yes

Nursery theme/colors: We both love to travel so our baby’s nursery features a map of the world that takes up a whole wall. We can’t wait to show him or her the world!
