Spring in Detroit engagement sessions might be my favorite! Let me first start by saying how DAMN good it felt having a couple in love in front of my lens and my camera in my hand after quarantine! The feeling is inexplainable and my heart was so happy. Blair, Doug and I ran around to some fun and colorful spots in Detroit and felt the sun and breeze on our faces and talked about their love. I’m smiling just thinking about it! Here’s more about this sweet couple:
Blair, teacher
Doug, manufactures rep
Met:
2017- however after we met we realized we had actually been at the same birthday party in 2018 (there was a picture of both of us from the birthday).
How they met:
Doug and I met through mutual friends. Doug was very interested in me and continued to pursue me. I was hesitant at first, but after getting to know Doug I realized what an awesome person he was!
Their engagement story:
On October 19, 2019 Doug and I got engaged. Doug had convinced me that they were having a family day at Blake’s Apple Orchard in Armada, MI. When we arrived we decided to go apple picking. Little to my knowledge, Doug had a plan. Doug had convinced me that one of the nearby trees had a good selection of apples. While I was busy picking apples out of the tree, Doug was preparing for the big surprise. I turned around to see Doug on one knee. I was completely shocked and excited about what was happening in front of me, I said YES!!!!
Song that reminds Blair of Doug:
