I live for when my couples follow their own wedding rules. Nothing has to be text book traditional anymore and Cumi & Jake’s wedding day was the perfect example.

It was so perfectly them.

Their day started at the amazing Ann Arbor Art Center in Downtown Ann Arbor where they exchanged vows in front of 40 of their closest friends and family. Later, we moved to a pavilion at Island Lake Park and had exactly what Jake and Cumi wanted – a laid back good old-fashioned party! And let me tell you, everybody got down on the dance floor at some point! The food was amazing – middle eastern, YUM! And we all danced the night away to the custom wedding reception playlist that Cumi & Jake created together. Other personal touches that made their day special were: Jake, being the talented artist that he is, created the save the dates and wedding invitations. Their wedding bands were white ceramic (so cool and so unique) and they picked their best people to be in their bridal party. Also, Cumi + Valli’s impromptu rendition of Total Eclipse of the Heart was kind of epic! Shout out to the fabulous Nikki Johns for all of her hard work planning and helping Cumi & Jake’s vision come to life! Jake & Cumi, I’m so glad I got to work with you. You both are so incredible and I wish you 100 years of happiness!   xo, e
