Alex + Dan – a winter Planterra wedding

Alex + Dan’s winter Planterra wedding was the BEST way to close out my 2018 wedding season!  It was such a good day!  I met Alex at The Townsend while she was getting ready surrounded by all of her favorite girls.  After an emotional first look, we headed out on the town for photos!  When I walked into Planterra I was blown away.  I’ve shot there a number of times, but every.single.time, it look different and amazing and I just gasp when I see it!

We shot around the grounds at Planterra and their ceremony began around sundown.  It was so emotional and intimate and perfect.  After dinner, we all ripped the dancefloor up to one of my favs: The Blue Water Kings!  A + D:  Thank you so much for being you – your day was absolutely amazing and it was such an honor to be a part fo it!  xo, e

Our first dance, which was a surprise picked by Dan. It was an emotional moment since I didn’t know the song in advance (and it was so perfectly fitting) and it was an incredibly special moment for just the two of us to enjoy and take in together.

 

Dan’s favorite memory of the day:

Having all of our guests enjoy themselves so much and having such a good time with all of our best friends and family.

 

Wedding planning advice for newly engaged couples:

Try to enjoy the planning process and not get too stressed or overwhelmed. Keep grounded in the real reason you’re planning this special event and make sure to take a few moments out of the actual day to be alone and appreciate all of the wonderful happening around you.
