Julie & Bryan are married!!!  You probably remember these babes from their engagement session last summer.  The 2nd of January was a cooooold one, but I can’t complain, because for the first time in a while, we saw the sun!  I met Julie at her hotel room at Detroit Marriott Troy, where she was getting ready with some familiar faces (which is the best!).  I went to high school with Julie, and although she didn’t have an official bridal party, all of her best friends (and classmates of mine) were there to enjoy the excitement with her.  So much fun and laughing before we headed down to meet her Hubs to be for their First Look.  We shot around outside fairly quickly due to the cold and headed over for their ceremony and reception at The Reserve in Birmingham.

Ugh, what a stuuuuuuning place!  So gorgeous and not to mention the food was fantastic!  Their ceremony went off without a hitch and everyone danced the night away to the amazing sounds of The Dan Rafferty Band  (man, I love a good band!) Thank you so much Julie and Bryan for having me photograph your day and for taking such good care of me.  There really is no finer complement than a friend hiring me and believing in my work.  My heart is so full just thinking about it.  Cheers to your love and your perfect day!  xo, e

Our wedding in three words: Elegant, Intimate, Classy

Julie’s favorite memory of the day: It was the best day of my life! From getting ready with all my family and best girlfriends, chatting and drinking wine while getting hair and makeup done, to the “first look” where Bryan and I saw each other for the first time – he was so handsome, to the amazing ceremony, cocktail hour and reception. I LOVED seeing all our families come together, get to know each other and of course seeing so many friends and family that I haven’t seen in a long time. It was truly a magical day!

Bryan’s favorite memory of the day: Seeing Julie in her dress for the first time. She looked so beautiful! Julie walking down the isle will be the one thing I remember forever.

Wedding planning advice for newly engaged couples:
-Start planning early
-Organize, make weekly to-do lists
-Ensure both people are involved in every decision
-Have a videographer
-Don’t stress! Maybe easier said than done, but this is a FUN event. Enjoy planning!
