This wedding was so personal and beautiful. The intimacy of it still warm my heart today thinking about it. I absolutely love Caitlin and Ken. They’re sweet and so kind. I first spent some time with them when we met for their engagement photos. We laughed a ton and drank craft beers, which is something they actually do as a couple quite regularly :). I then knew their day was going to be fu of laughter and fun and I was spot on.

Back to their intimate wedding – it was small and perfect. Such a personal Eastern Market wedding.  Ken handmade a portion of the centerpieces (the planters are wooden 6 packs) and they served some of their favorite beers.  There was laughing and a few tears and just so much love and all in my favorite city.  Can we do it all over again?!  Cait & Ken, thank you so much for being you.  It was so amazing getting to know the both of you and watch you as you planned your perfect day.  It was SUCH an amazing day and I seriously do want to do it all over again :)  xo, e

Their wedding in three words: Fun, Intimate, Detroit

 

Caitlin’s favorite memory of the day:

If I had to choose, it would be our ceremony. A dear friend of ours officiated our wedding, and the ceremony was a perfect representation of our relationship and our promises to one another. It was an indescribable feeling to stand with Ken in front of our friends and family and read our vows to one another. We were both so emotional and had been holding it in during the frenzy of the day, that as soon as we made it out of the building after being announced, we immediately hugged one another and both started crying tears of joy/relief/excitement!

 

Ken’s favorite memory of the day:

I think my favorite moment was the ceremony. It was an amazing feeling, standing up at the end of the aisle with Caitlin, looking out over all of our friends and family who had come out to support us from all over the country.

 

Wedding planning advice for newly engaged couples:

Don’t sweat the small stuff! Know that some things will go wrong, but that it will all be okay in the end. Focus on the most important thing – namely, that you’re marrying your best friend!
