Ahhh, I love a good Ferndale love story! These two are so much fun! We bonded instantly when we first met over our shared love of food and it only seemed right to have part of their session at one of their (any my) favorite spots, Imperial. I met them at their home for some cozy shots and then we headed out into the snow to have some fun and capture their love.
The funny part about our session is Jennifer was a little nervous, because she doesn’t really love having her photo taken. This is exactly why I include complementary engagement sessions with my wedding collections now. It gives my couples an opportunity to get a little move comfy in front of the lens, and it gives us an opportunity to have fun! And we sure did! Here’s a little more about these two:
Jennifer, Kindergarten Teacher
Jarrett, Director of Mortgage Banking
Met: Early 2010
How they met: We met while working at the University of Michigan. It all started when Jarrett passed Jennifer a note…
Their Engagement story: We went back to Ann Arbor for the day for some bar hopping. When we go there it was POURING rain! We didn’t realize it was going to be storming all day. We stopped at two of our old date spots then went to a third while we waited for the rain to clear. Jarrett suggested we visit the park we used to go to when we first started dating. The storm had already passed the park so when we got there the sky was bright blue and the sun was shining. We sat and talked on a bench then Jarrett asked if I wanted to go sit on the swings. I started walking toward the swings, but realized he wasn’t walking with me. When I turned around he was down on one knee. *Cue the waterworks*
Song that reminds Jennifer of Jarrett: Cruise, Florida Georgia Line ft. Nelly
Song that reminds Jarrett of Jennifer: Shoop, Salt & Peppa
Their wedding vision in three words: Timeless, romantic, fun
Wedding colors: Orange and blue
A Pine Knob Mansion, Clarkston, Michigan is planned for October 2016.
