Claire + Michael’s spring Cornman Farms wedding was so special. It was a windy, rainy wedding day, but being the wedding of two classical musicians, it was perfectly intimate and traditional. These two both got ready at Zingerman’s Cornman Farms and started our time together with one of my favorite first looks of all time. Michael felt Claire’s hug from behind and it was just tears from there from both of them as well as us!
Their day was so full of love. With such special people in their wedding parties and their family here from all over the country, it was one I won’t soon forget. My favorite moments of the day were definitely the perfectly dramatic flower man – adult male friend of the couple as the traditional flower girl part of the processional. He was so perfectly over the top! Also, with both of them being classically trained musician, music was so important to them. The piece that was played during the processional was a very special one to the couple and was timed perfectly for when Claire came down the aisle. So good!

Their wedding in three words:
Magical Meaningful Thoughtful
Claire’s favorite memory of the day:
Waiting to meet Michael for the first look. I could see him coming around the corner of the house and my heart started racing. I remember the door opening and trying to be as quiet as possible so he couldn’t get a sense of what my dress looked like from the sound of it moving down the steps. I wasn’t sure how to let him know I was there so I put my arms around his waist and we both immediately started crying. The build up to that moment was almost 3 years in the making and it was so perfect I couldn’t have imagined it any other way.
Michael’s favorite memory of the day:
Although everything was amazing, the ceremony was my favorite. Getting to see Claire coming down the isle and see the joy in everyone’s faces was wonderful. Finally hearing Claire’s vows, and how honest they were made the wedding a true joy.
Wedding planning advice for newly engaged couples:
Take your time! Plan for over a year, don’t rush anything. Don’t try to copy other people, use your relationship as a guide to make the wedding meaningful. Enjoy every process together. Men, go choose the flowers. Women, help pick out the beer. Its a group project, be present the whole time.
