You guys, this year has been even more than I could have ever imagined.  For Christmas last year, Brandon got me Whitney English’s – The Day Designer.  The Day Designer is a planner for creative business owners (if you are one, you should totally check it out!).  One thing I love about my Day Designer is in the front, there is a section to help brainstorm for your year ahead.  I wrote down goals and looking at them now, seem so small, because I just blew through them.  It really goes to show, if you work hard and stay focused anything can happen.

I took a scary leap this year and stepped down from my position as a surgical coordinator to focus on my photography business full time.  It was sooooo scary, but it really has been absolutely amazing.  I had the opportunity to capture brand new babies, family traditions, intimate weddings, super sized weddings, the laughs and the tears.  My work was recognized and published by photography publications, Lemonade & Lenses, Beyond the Wanderlust, Midwest Bride and Design Aglow.  But most importantly, my work was recognized by you.  I really can’t thank you all enough.  Chasing my dream has been a wild ride and I couldn’t think of better people to spend it with.  I’ve had some really rad clients this year and have had the opportunity to work with some really amazing photographers.  I shared a lot of laughs, fastened 13 boutonnieres in under 10 minutes, given over 100 high 5’s and had one of the greatest hugs I’ve ever received.

This coming year is already looking to be amazing.  I am a strong believer in continuing education and last month I traveled to Indianapolis to learn from some of my photography idols in preparation for this coming season.  It was so great to learn and grow with photographers from all over the country.  I can’t wait for you to see what I have up my sleeves and I can’t wait to see what the future holds.  Thank you all so much for following in this journey with me.  Your support means more to me than you’ll ever know.  Now, scroll down and see all of the bea-u-teous faces I had the opportunity to meet and document this year!
